How the calculators are made
- Every calculator is plain arithmetic, and the sum is written out on its page.
- Where a figure comes from a manufacturer or supplier, the page links to it.
- Where a figure changes by brand or by job, it is a box you fill in, not a number chosen for you.
What they do not do
They count materials. They do not design anything. Sizes, depths, spacings, permits and anything structural are for your plans, your supplier, your council or an engineer.
